Biodiversity and its services, the so-called ecosystem services, are the basis of life on this earth. The state of biodiversity in Switzerland is unsatisfactory. Half of the habitats and one third of the species are threatened. With the decline in biodiversity, genetic diversity has also been lost. The bird bath with integrated feeding station makes a valuable contribution to biodiversity. It offers birds and insects the opportunity to drink and bathe all year round and is also an aid to foraging. This project was implemented through a cooperation with the Swiss company Eternit. The material Eternit is a durable and weatherproof fibre cement, which convinces with its material properties and is therefore well suited for this project called birdbar.
